All new Rotarians are asked to provide their fellow members with a Classification Talk. The purpose of the Classification Talk is to enhance fellowship by giving the new Rotarian an opportunity to introduce their vocation and personal story to their fellow Club members. This presentation fosters better understanding and connection among the membership. Recently, Rotarian Bev O'Rourke shared her fascinating and humourous Classification Talk with the members of the Rotary Club of Brockville. In particular, she shared her youth days growing up on a farm in Southeast Ontario, along with her eventual career in her health care profession. She was also very open about the serious health problems she has faced and how that experience and her other life experience has shaped her values and interests and eventually led her to join Rotary.
