Our guest speaker tonight will be Dave Lowery with Montco Planning Commission. He will be talking about the new Creekside Park boating area on Perkiomen Creek in Collegeville, and more.

Michael is responsible for planning services and technical analysis in contract communities as
part of the Community Planning Section of the Montgomery County Planning Commission
(MCPC). He received a Master of Urban and Regional Planning and a BS degree in Urban and
Environmental Planning both from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Currently he
provides planning services for the Townships of West Norriton and West Pottsgrove, as well as
the boroughs of Ambler and Collegeville. The current work with Collegeville includes an update
to the 2010 Collegeville Revitalization Plan which began in January of 2020. Mike’s professional
experience includes projects focused on comprehensive planning, land use, and community
development. His career has included positions with the Center for Community Solutions (CCS)
at West Chester University, The Brandywine Conservancy, West Chester Borough, and
Transition Town Media.
