Rotary Club of Boyertown

During my 49 years of full time employment I served: Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. in Finance; General Electric, which became Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia, as Administrator for Space Power; and later in career 21^st Century Media, as Sales Executive. 

In the early part of my career served with the Ambucs; Toastmasters; and Jaycees.  Then became part of Rotary and was Club President in Boyertown during 2005-06.   When I was still in high school in Berks County, 14 other boys and I won a trip to 12-Countries, 35-days in Europe w/ Rotary International President, Joe Abby & his family.  Joe worked for the Reading Eagle-Times in Reading, PA at that time.

As Rotary President, received the Distinguished Club Citation, from District 7430; received Four Avenues of Service Citation for Individual Rotarians, from Rotary International.

In 2012, served on Cebu Medical Mission Trip, to Cebu City in the Philippines, to sterilize the instruments for three operating rooms for two weeks.

In 2016, went with CHOP and Rotary to Cumana, Venezuela to help the Cumanagoto Rotary Club help their children w/ Rotaplast surgery on a Mission Trip for two weeks.     

While in the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA) as President for Philadelphia in 1992; earned Region I, Director for AIAA; which was a three year term; visiting 17 Sections in the NE part of our Country; plus three National Meetings each year; one being on the Board in Washington, DC.

In Ambucs, earned an Appreciation Award, from Chapter President.    

Early in career served Jaycees till early thirties receiving the C. Wm. Brownfield Memorial Award.

And w/ Toastmasters; received the Three Best Speeches Award, Pottstown Toastmasters.

Today I’m still with Rotary Club of Boyertown, District 7430; serving on the Board w/ Building A Better Boyertown, as Organization Committee, Chair; and also w/ Boyertown’s Historical Society; along w/ Good Shepherd Church of Christ; Shepherd Fund Endowment Chair for last 20-years.
