NOV 19 ROTAPLAST APPEAL

Dear Fellow Rotarians,
 
Today, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving, together with members of other nearby Rotary clubs.  We will enjoy a great meal and hear an inspirational speaker.  My hope and prayer is that you join me in taking the time to reflect on our many blessings... 
 
It may feel unseasonably cold around here, but there will be more than 90 inches of snow falling in Buffalo NY...
 
It may appear like a hectic work day for some of us, but for the unemployed or bedridden, it will be utterly hopeless and uncomfortable...
 
Some of us may not find a reason to smile as we struggle with poor health or loss of a loved one, but for the young children with clef lips and cleft palates, their facial muscles have never known the experience of a smile...
 
Yes, our Rotaplast TV Auction to fund such surgical missions is only a few days away, and it has critically fewer donated items than last year.  
 
Some of us are so tapped out, that we could only ask a friend or a vendor for an auction item.  Many others like me, have unwanted gifts or purchases that remain unused since entering our homes.  Can you think of an unused unwanted item at your home? 
 
Before we look for an unused gift in our homes to donate, let's look in our hearts and get rid of any unwanted attitude of ingratitude.  
 
May your Holidays overflow with Blessings that emanate from a grateful heart.
