Twice a year, Morning Star Rotary offers Audrey Rafferty Memorial (ARM) Education Grants to clients in the St. Luke’s Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) Program. NFP empowers first-time mothers to transform their lives and create better futures for themselves and their babies. Specially educated nurses regularly visit first-time moms, becoming a trusted resource in providing care, support and advice.The most recent recipient of the ARM Education Grant was awarded a $1,000 grant to assist in the purchase of a computer to aid in her studies at LCCC where she is pursuing a degree in nursing. With the assistance of MSR Rotarian Lynn Milet, she was able to buy the proper computer. In her words “I want to thank you and the Rotary Club of Bethlehem Morning Star for allowing me to have this grant. I am so thankful because now I can accomplish my dream career.”
