Our dear Morning Star family,
As you know, we have requested a transfer to The Skidaway Rotary Club in Savannah GA. This was very difficult for us because our lives for the past 20 years in Bethlehem have revolved around our club's activities and our fellow members who remain in our hearts. It is with joy that we recall our early days at the Holiday Inn, the inaugural 5-K Run with "Stan the Greek God", "Desty - The Flying Nun", and our most favorite the "Flapping Chicken". Tom and Jeff are to be congratulated for making this a true Bethlehem event.
The thing that stands out above all is the caring that each club member has for each other. Our Happy Dollars began supporting Jean and the others who suffered with cancer. This developed into today's "Proud of, Grumpy with, Supportive of and just plain old "HAPPY because..." dollars. We have also watch our club's "children" Charlie, Ron, Geoff, Jean/Ron, and Chris's sons, Dee and Ginny's daughters and many, many grandchildren have grown, gone to college and now are soon to be Rotarians.
Personally we want to thank you for the honor of representing the Club as District Governor and First Lady and for the wonderful Conference that the Club provided to the District. We have had two DGs now and both conferences were trend setters.
Once again, our hearts remain with you.
