PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Dear Fellow Rotarians:

When we focus on “Service Above Self” as we prepare for our respective Thanksgiving, let us remember the needs of those less fortunate than us so we may resume our Rotarian endeavors after our Holiday.

Reminders:
  • If you are preparing a gift for the Children’s Gift Program, try to have your wrapped present with a tag listing the age and gender of your present, or a shoebox wrapped (but able to be opened) with an age and gender specific present inside. These should be brought in at our next meeting on November 30th.
  • December 7th is our social meeting to be held at the Clubhouse Grille at the Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course on Illick’s Mill Road. The social starts at 5:30. Each member will purchase their own food and beverages.
  • The meeting to be held on December 14th will be at Seven Sirens on the ground floor of the Flatiron Building unless I notify you of a different location.
  • December 21st will be our Holiday Meeting at the Moravian Advent Church on Jacksonville Road. We will each need to sign up ahead of time including signing up to sponsor one of our choral group singers. Each participant and sponsored guest will cost $10 each. Signing up will allow us to order the correct amount of food for this wonderful annual tradition celebrating the Holiday season. In addition, we will need members to sign up to help with setup, greeters and clean up. If you are not able to attend our next meeting, let me know if you want to be included as a helper.
  • Our Holiday Party will be held on Saturday January 6th at a location to be announced.
  • Our three dates for the Bethlehem Emergency Shelter: Monday January 8th, Tuesday February 13th, and Thursday March 14th. We will have sign-up sheets for these dates at our upcoming meetings.
Look forward to seeing everyone after Thanksgiving. Try not to overeat and if you are with family, enjoy your time together.

NEW MEMBERS INDUCTED

Morning Star Rotary is Growing!  On Thursday, November 16th, DG Diane Donaher joined us as we welcomed four new members to our Morning Star Rotary family.  DG Diane inducted Susan Badu, Enid Jackson, Justin Strasser, and Taylor Breinich (virtually).   The new members were joined by their Morning Star sponsors and their club mentors.  Congratulations and welcome to Rotary!

RESET OUTDOORS
At our November 16th club meeting, Connor M. Moriarty from Reset Outdoors was our guest speaker.  He shared with our membership his organization's "Nature Centered Well-Being" model if you are experiencing stress at your job or at home, never-ending uncertainty, healing from trauma, or simply in search of positive change.  Members were provided an overview of the organization's offerings and were able to experience a taste of how change in their well-being can be effected through Reset Outdoor's programs.

"For individuals and families, we provide counseling services that reconnect you with nature to help you live a healthy and balanced life.

For teams, companies, and organizations, we provide both professional development and leadership programming that creates a healthy, empowered and engaged workforce.

We believe that we, as human beings, are inherently strong, resilient, and capable. This can be easy to lose sight of, especially when your daily life feels complicated and overwhelming. Our job is simply to help you understand where you are now, plot a course, and walk with you on your journey to a healthy, balanced, life."
