Rotary District 7430 Virtual Changeover Celebration.....Oh what a night!

On Monday, July 27, 2020 Rotary District 7430 celebrated an outstanding year of growth and service under the leadership of now PDG Herb Klotz. We also welcomed our new District Governor, Janet Kolepp. It was a night full of fellowship, reflection and inspiration. Awards were given the areas of membership, giving, youth programs and service. 34 clubs qualified for Rotary Club citations. We added 4 clubs and had a +41 Net District Membership gain, the best in Zone 28 & 32! Our District was #1 in the USA in ShelterBox giving! All 45 clubs participated in PolioPlus giving! 37 clubs participated in District Grant projects! 33 clubs were awarded Youth Program awards! Click on "Read More" for some highlights.

Look closely through the details and you will see Morning Star had a very strong year despite all the challenges! Thanks to President Mike Long, the Board and all Morning Star Rotarians for a terrific year!

Thursday July 30 at 7:30 am MSR ZOOM with Kelly Bauer, Executive Director Center for Animal Health.

Kelly will be discussing the importance of researching breed prior to adopting. She will also review their 'meet your match program' which helps find the animal that best fits with the adopters lifestyle.

TRUE STORY OF THE HEART

Special thanks to Jan Chicka, one of our favorite Rotarians - now of the Whitehall Rotary Club who presented her personnel story of her "heart."

After caring for her mother through her passing, Jan realized she was having odd heartbeats. The diagnosis was AFib. Jan candidly shared her amazing story of her choice to live and the challenges of regaining her "heart health" and getting her life back. Now after years of persistence, many surgeries, procedures, medications she has achieved outstanding success. Clearly she "chose wisely!"

Jan was honored by the American Heart Association in recognition of her successful journey of the heart! She is 1 of 12 Women of Heart! Click link for the stories.
