If BASD just DELAYS school opening, our meeting will be HELD AS USUAL (Zoom & In-person), unless notification e-mailed for a Zoom format for all.

Please join the Rotary Club of Bethlehem Morning Star this Thursday, March 14, 2024, for our Live/Hybrid Meeting. Our meet & greet starts at 7:15am with the regular meeting starting at 7:30am.

Our speaker will be Maria Shior, Director of Volunteers for Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering.

We will also hold Club officer elections.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Morning Star Rotarians,

We have a busy Spring! The RLI is March 23rd. This is a chance for newer members to learn more about Rotary and more seasoned members to pick up new and innovative ideas for our club. The tuition for this will be reimbursed upon request. April 13th is Earth Day and there is a Spring Clean-up scheduled for that day. Next, we are excited to have the District Conference in our backyard, April 26th through 28th. You can sign up for the entire weekend or just a part of the weekend. Lastly, we have our Spaghetti Dinner on May 10th. This is one of the events where we get many of our members involved. Many hands make light work. See where you can help!

We are excited that Rod and Sheila Seifert have stepped up to be the Co-Chairs this year for the Salute the Troops Concert in November. They need at least four other members to join the committee so we can again have a fabulous concert this year. One of the reasons for joining Rotary is to provide "Service Above Self". Here is an opportunity to a little work with meaningful results. Contact Rod or Sheila to help.

I will still be on Zoom for for a while. Thanks to Rodney and Rod for stepping up to help!

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY AWARD

SUSAN!

Morning Star Rotary's own Susan Burnett was honored with the "2024 Rotary International Women’s Day Rotarian Award" for her exemplary humanitarian service work, both locally and globally, by the Emmaus Rotary Club at their club meeting on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Numerous MSR Rotarians were present to honor Susan as she accepted this award. In addition to receiving a Paul Harris +3 Pin and a crystal plaque, Susan was recognized with a proclamation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Congratulations Susan on receiving these well deserved accolades.
