At our October 24th meeting, Dr. Bill Hunter, Morning Star Rotarian and Director of Fellowship Advising and UN Programs at Lehigh University, reminded our members that along with October 24th being World Polio Day, it was also the anniversary of the final ratification of the United Nations charter in 1945. Rotary was instrumental in the founding of the United Nations and is one of two non-nations (Red Cross) that has a seat in the organization.
