Update on our Peru Water Filter Project
Juan Proaño advises that the $18,500 contributed by 5 clubs in District 7430 (including $2,000 by Bethlehem Morning Star), resulted in a 2013-14 Rotary Foundation Global Grant of $39,450. Three water filtration distributions have been made so far, and several Rotarians from our District are going to Peru to participate in the next one on November 8. It is heartwarming that our efforts will help provide access to clean water for drinking and cooking to more than 5,000 people living within the poverty belt that surrounds Lima, Peru for the next 3 years!
