Storms Subsided for Golf Tournament!

STORMS SUBSIDED FOR GOLF TOURNAMENT!

After some Monday morning deluges, the skies cleared and our Golf Tournament was held as planned yesterday at Silver Creek Country Club in Hellertown ... much to Butch Macri's relief!

At our April 18 meeting, we heard about the establishment of a scholarship fund in memory of Steve Godbolt, to forever benefit the kids at Northeast Ministry and the Boys and Girls Club about whom he cared so much. This year and next year, proceeds from our Golf Tournament, run jointly with "Downtown" Bethlehem Rotary, will get this scholarship started.

Butch thanks all the golfers, sponsors (especially event sponsor Embassy Bank!), patrons and members who provided gift certificates and purchased squares on the raffle board. Raffle prizes won by Morning Star members not at the tournament will be brought to the meeting this Thursday - please check and see if any are yours!

And WE THANK BUTCH - without all his hard work this annual event simply couldn't happen!
