ROTARY HELPS KIDS in BETHLEHEM...and AROUND the WORLD
ROTARY HELPS KIDS in BETHLEHEM...and AROUND the WORLD!
A wonderful time was shared by third grade students and a hearty contingent of Rotarians at William Penn Elementary on Oct. 30! Gerry & Jill Long, Gordon & Susan Sommers and I were given an opportunity to speak about Rotary before handing out the dictionaries to two classes. After showing pictures and information explaining polio and how Rotary is helping to eradicate it, Jill described her Rotaplast mission to Colombia, and we handed out our custom-made Rotary coloring sheets in addition to the dictionaries. Gordon led the children in looking up both "polio" and the longest word in the English language - which none of us could pronounce!

I encourage you to experience the fantastic feeling of helping by handing out dictionaries at one or more of the remaining schools - please contact Ellen Roberts for info wherebooksbegin@gmail.com.
Yours in Rotary,
