What is Friendship Exchange?

Friendship Exchange is when two Rotary Districts pair up and decide that they would like to get to know each other, their culture and become friends.

Rotarians ( and their spouses) travel to that country and stay with Rotarians, tour and get to know each other. The Rotarians from that country then come to visit our district. Costs are paid for by the individuals for the travel.  There is typically a team of 4-12 people on each exchange. It is a great opportunity for your club to host and learn about other cultures.

Our district has participated in successful  Exchanges in New Zealand and Australia and we are about to offer some more opportunities.

District 7430 Friendship Exchange with Western Canada

A Group of Canadians will visit our district from Western Canada on September 18-30, 2013. They are from the Vancouver area. HOST CLUBS ARE NEEDED - Clubs would host the team in their homes for about 3 days. An itinerary will be developed and we will have a van for transporting the team. If there are enough Morning Star members interested, we can contact the district about being one of the host clubs. (We would need a volunteer to coordinate the Morning Star effort.)

Canadian Return Trip –  June 12- 24, 2014

Up to 10 Rotarians and their spouses. Tour will include the beautiful area of Vancouver, Victoria Island and the world renowned Butchart Gardens, Whistler and much more!
