Each Rotarian is asked to make a contribution of a minimum of $100 per year to Rotary Foundation.  When members contribute a cumulative total of $1,000, they become Paul Harris Fellows.  Our current membership includes over 35 Paul Harris Fellows.

One-half of your contributions are returned to the District for use after three years.  Our club recently received a District Simplified Grant to support a project for Hogar Crea.  This money is the result of District Rotarians making contributions to Rotary Foundation.  The remaining one-half of your contribution is used by Rotary International to assist with projects for those in need throughout the world.  NONE of the contributions are directly used to fund administrative costs.

In order to receive a tax deduction for 2012, please give your check payable to “Rotary Foundation” to Tom Hartzell at the club meeting on December 13 or 20.  You may also mail your payment to Tom Hartzell, 1341 Biafore Avenue, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

Many members also contribute to the Foundation by giving $2/week.  More information will follow advising how you can have contributions deducted from your bank account on a regular basis, as another method of contributing to the Foundation.
