As we converse or communicate in other ways in the world of Rotary, we hear and see many abbreviations (official and unofficial). Feel free to submit inquiries.

AG = Assistant Governor

COG = Council of Governors (PDGs - Past District Governors)

CC = County Contact (Youth Exchange)

DG = The sitting District Governor, the current year.

DGE = District Governor Elect, to be DG the next year

DGN = District Governor Nominee, to be DG the second year

DGND = District Governor Nominee Designate, to be DG the third year

DG Track = Three year preparation time period for DGs

DS = District Secretary

DT = District Trainer

GETS = Governor-Elect Training Seminar - conducted at the Zone level

GSE = Group Study Exchange

IPDG = Immediate Past District Governor

IPP = Immediate Past President (club)

MOP = RI Manual of Procedure, revised every three years

NewGen = New Generations (Interact, Rotaract, Youth Exchange, RLYA)
