The final Rotary Foundation Annual Fund push is on to qualify Morning Star to repeat as a “100% Participation” Club and average over $100 per member.
If you have not already given, please give your Foundation contribution in any amount to Tom Hartzell or the “$2 a Week” Table by June 9 to ensure proper credit to both you and the club for our achievement. We are over 85% participation at this point. Please help us meet our goal, and remember – no gift is too small. Thank you.

Joint Golf Tournament on June 6
With our joint Rotary Golf Outing to benefit Bridges Foundation less than a week away, we are still in need of prizes for the Raffle Boards.

A big thanks to all who have solicited or contributed prizes so far.  If you haven't done so yet, please consider reaching out to your favorite restaurant or shop this week and ask for a gift certificate or item to donate to the cause.  If possible, bring it to the meeting this Thursday and give to Butch Macri or Kristian Schafer.

The deadline for golfers is fast approaching, and non-golfers can help by buying squares on the raffle board. Every effort to make this annual Golf Outing a success for our beneficiaries is much appreciated.

Thanks!
Morning Star Rotary Golf Committee

Bowl-n-Bites a Fun Time for All!

Our second annual Bowl-n-Bites was a fun success for all the participants. Rumor has it that future Rotarian, Andrew Kicska, was quite a bowler – allegedly besting some of his more experienced competitors such as Sue Reeps! Special thanks to Kristian Schafer, who handled all the arrangements.

New Rotary Club Brewing in the Lehigh Valley

Assistant Governor Janet Kolepp communicated a new Rotary Club is brewing in the Lehigh Valley.  Herb Klotz, incoming District Membership Chair,  is looking for Rotarians interested in participating with a planning committee exploring creating this club in the Whitehall area (which may include Whitehall, Coplay, Catasauqua and Northampton.)

If you are interested or aware of any Rotarian that might be interested in helping please email Herb at herbk@ptd.net or reply to AG Janet. Questions are welcomed! (Participation in the committee will not necessarily lead to membership in the new club.)

As we celebrate Memorial Day, here is another perspective -
