Sue Capobianco, Chief Marketing Officer at Morningstar Senior Living in Nazareth, was our speaker last week. Sue talked about the Changing Face of Retirement.
The lifespan of retirement has increased in recent decades from 10 years to 30 years. Social Security & pensions account for a lower percent of retirement income. Healthcare costs are now 2-3x the inflation rate. 
Retirement Living Options include:
1) Living with adult children
2) Staying at home
3) 55+ Communities and
4) Life Plan Communities.
The cost of Assisted Living here in the Lehigh Valley is between $5,000 - $8,500 monthly and Nursing Home costs are between $10,000 - $13,000 monthly.
