Last week we had the pleasure of Rotarian Marianne Aronson enlightening us on her personal passion..Tea. Marianne’s love of tea began at the World Fair in New York. In the 90’s she started to try teas from around the world. Tea is the 2nd most consumed drink in the world following water. There are 4 types of tea: White, Black, Oolong and Green. Black Tea has less than 50% of the caffeine of coffee. Tea is grown on 6 continents and in 55 countries. Top producers of tea are China, India, Sri-Lanka, Indonesia, Turkey, Vietnam and Kenya. Thank you Marianne for sharing your knowledge with us.
Stephen Kazar was inducted as our newest member. On behalf of the club, I would like to welcome Stephen to Morning Star Rotary.

This year due to a change of ownership ( ESSROC) did not participate in the Celtic Classic Race. Although the race was a great success, we will net less than previous years. To be able to continue the work that we do, I ask that every member make a special effort to obtain advertising sponsorships for Salute the Troops. All advertisements must be received by Thursday, Oct. 27th.
This week our speaker will be Kim Harper from the Bethlehem area School District. She will address the Dictionary Project and why these dictionaries mean so much to 3rd Graders, especially in these times of the internet and digital communications.
The Nominating Committee is identifying candidates for the Board of Directors and Officers. Anyone wishing to step up to a leadership role in helping the Club progress, please contact any committee member. You will enrich the club and your own experiences as a Rotarian. Besides, we have FUN!
