At the September board meeting a group of past leadership, new Rotarians and current board members met to explore the opportunities & challenges MSR is facing in the midst of the changing Rotary world. Our conversation included understanding what qualities are found in leaders for our club.
The following is an excerpt from statement created as a result of this exploration:
A leader in MSR is someone who is adaptable, flexible, leads by example, is open minded and collaborative ........ We believe members "step up" to leadership when there is support and like the people they are leading, ............
Over the next few weeks a nominating committee will be working to put together a slate of officers & directors to lead our club. Our club has a history of great work in our community with committed leadership. If you are asked to "step-up" to leadership, please thoughtfully consider serving.
