Pres. Sue's May 6 Message
Greetings Rotarians,
Never thought I would be so happy to spend 10 hours sitting in a quiet office chair as I am this Monday. I am sure the thrill will have worn off by Friday.
Apparently I missed A LOT while I was away.
A GIANT THANK YOU to Val and her team for what I hear was a fantastic Spaghetti Dinner. It sounds like a wonderful time was had by all and there was a huge crowd. Even George, from the Downtown Club mentioned how much he enjoyed it. I am sure that Val will tell us all about it at the meeting.
I heard from Bill Jahn that the District Conference was a great success with over 240 attendees (including exchange students et. al.) and that the Speech Contest was the highlight. If you are planning on attending the DISTRICT ASSEMBLY this weekend, at DeSales, you will get to hear the winning talk.
Another huge thank you to Retief for a wonderful talk last week. I heard that it was very well attended.

There are some hobbies on here that I have no idea what they are! Like GO Playing and Esperanto and Geocaching? And there are some regular ones like Fishing and Golfing and Quilting and License Plate Collecting. It’s a great way to meet Rotarians from around the world who share your interests and hobbies, however unique they may be.
