Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays!

I hope that you can join us this week for a wonderful breakfast and lots of singing! It is our annual Holiday meeting!

We are on the 2nd floor this week - if you are not sure where to go, get off the elevator at the 2nd floor and follow the noise and the delicious smells!

The other important thing that happens this week is that we VOTE on next year’s Board of Directors.

An Update on our Friends, “FRIENDS FOREVER

Those of you who attended the District Conference last year may remember a wonderful presentation about Friends Forever. FF started in 1986 and brings groups of Protestant and Catholic kids together for 6 weeks. It as expanded to Arab and Jewish youth as well. Rotary has been involved by providing programs and activities while the youth are in the US.  Recently the founder, Bob Raiche was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize! That is the update. He did not win, he lost to the EU. (Yes, I am still scratching my head on that one too!).

Remember, there is NO MEETING NEXT WEEK, DEC. 27because we will all be partying at Mike and Terry Long’s house on Friday evening, Dec. 28.

Then we will return to our regularly scheduled programming on Jan. 3rd when our speaker will be Dr. Joel Rosenfeld, who is the Dean of St. Luke’s/Temple School of Medicine, which was the 1st in the Lehigh Valley.

Please be safe this Holiday Season,

Susan
