Pres. Sue's 7/9 Message
Greetings Morning Star Rotarians,
I cannot believe the year is finally here! I am so relieved I am no longer in charge of scheduling speakers! I will never lay awake at night again wondering “Will they or won’t they show up? Will they go upstairs without waiting for me or calling my cell and leave me standing in the freezing rain even though I asked them in 3 emails to call if they go upstairs on their own???” Good Luck, Deb. I am sure that you will do a fabulous job!
So our July Pool Party is officially scheduled for Saturday July 28th. Start time, 3-4 pmish at Jim Vitale's home - 4434 Kathi Drive, Bethlehem . I cannot wait to see everyone in their bathing suits. Bring the kids, grandkids, grandparents, aunts, uncles ... Pot luck - will send a sign up sheet around.
But before that, we have to say good-bye to Doriane this Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm at 3181 Rambeau Road, Bethlehem. (See details below.) If you plan on going, please let Judi Dexter know so she can get a head count.
Check out the new link on our homepage. It’s called “Things You Have Always Wanted to Know About Rotary” – It has a gazillion links and documents about everything Rotary – how to run a club, Future Visions, Friendships Exchanges, How to be Club Secretary – you name it, is there. The Ultimate resource, even if you have never figured out how to log on – you can still access it! I asked my daughter Lydia how long it took her to put all that up there and she said “About 5 seconds Mom.” And I said “Wow, that is too bad because if it was something really hard, I would have paid you a lot more.” She is available for IT consultations.
This week's program will be the kids from Camp Neidig. It is always an impressive and entertaining breakfast. I hope you can join us.
Cheers, Susan
(Someone once asked me why I always use the salutation “Cheers” – it’s because I can hardly ever remember how to spell “Sincerely”.)
