My Fellow Rotarians,

Since the election is less than a week away, I figured this was my shot to use that greeting ...

Our speaker this week (Nov 1) is going to be Janet Fricker, Executive Director of the Bethlehem Area Public Library. She will talk to us about the library's "Room to Grow" program as well as its diverse variety of services. I think I have single handedly been funding the library with my overdue fines. (Of course, that doesn't count the proceeds of two of our joint Golf Tournaments.)

There are so many things going on in Rotary I feel like a broken record. Most important is our Salute the Troops Concert on Sunday Nov 18th. Please get your ads and ticket sales in to Gary and Jean, and remember that tickets are also available at the door.

Before that is the Joint Thanksgiving Lunch on Wed Nov 14th. I need to get a count to the Downtown club by Nov 9th so please sign up at the meeting or email me if you think you are going. Remember the cost of that lunch is $20 (with $5 going to Polio Eradication) and you pay at the door. It looks like a great program.

Soon after that is the Rotoplast Auction on Dec 1st. You can submit donations by November 20. For more information, please contact Linda Young at the District or visit this website:  http://www.clubrunner.ca/portal/SitePages/SitePage.aspx?accountid=50086&pid=51199

And please tune into the Auction on December 1st and bid!

Thanks again to Barbara for our wonderful speaker on Oct. 25, Morris Metz (LV Chapter of the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge). I love all the history I learn at Rotary!

Cheers, Susan
