Polio Plus Update - Foundation Donations by THIS THURSDAY please!

The World Health Organization has declared the spread of polio as an International Health Emergency.  The virus has spread from Afghanistan to Pakistan, Syria to Iraq, and Cameroon to Equatorial Guinea.  This matter should be of concern to all Rotarians who have worked hard in trying to eliminate polio over the past 25 years, and represents a setback in the worldwide effort.

With this in mind, Bethlehem Morning Star would ask members to consider making a donation to Polio Plus as their gift to the Foundation.  Any contribution received prior to June 30 will be credited to the current Rotary year, and help Bethlehem Morning Star meet its commitment to the District.  Your check should be made payable to “Rotary Foundation”, and note if you would like the contribution to be acknowledged as Polio Plus or the Annual Fund.  Anyone who has been contributing $2 per week can also request that their contributions made since January 2014 be credited to Polio Plus. (To be submitted after the June 12 meeting.)

Keep in mind that the club will offer matching points for any contribution of $100, enabling members to move closer to attaining their Paul Harris Fellow.

Checks can be given to Tom Hartzell by June 12, or mailed to Tom Hartzell, 1341 Biafore Avenue, Bethlehem, PA  18017.

Thank you!
