Morning Star Committees

RSVP 7/22:  How will you “Light Up Rotary” this year?

A tremendous amount of the work we accomplish at Morning Star is through every member participating in one or more committees. In the Download section of our Home Page please see the COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS – 2014-15 for information on our committees and how they relate to the Rotary International 5 Avenues of Service.

Would you please review the various opportunities there are for service?  You may notice there are significant differences in the activities of the various committees.  Club Service is deeply involved in the on-going weekly and monthly operations of the club, including Communications, Programs, Membership and Fellowship.  Community Service is more project oriented, e.g., 5K/10K Race, Dictionaries, Salute the Troops, Golf Tournament and Spaghetti Dinner.  These events are focused at specific times during our Rotary year and have their own timeframes of intensity.

President Tom requests that you consider which committees interest you most for your service this year, and forward your selections as soon as possible, but not later than July 22, 2014. Please submit in order of your personal preference and identify multiple committees for service.  Every effort will be made to populate the committees based upon preferences, but please bear in mind the needs of the club may be matched up with your areas of expertise and experience.
