BETHLEHEM ROTARY INVITATION: 

TRIP TO GETTYSBURG ON JULY 6

2013 marks the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. Bethlehem Rotary would like to charter a bus on July 6 to take Rotarians, family, and friends to experience a day of Civil War history including the battle reenactment of Cemetery Hill. The day will be packed with oral history provided by Confederate and Union generals discussing battle plans, the use of Civil War Spies and the challenges created for local civilians. In July 2013, Gettysburg will be the epicenter for historians and civil war buffs. You can be there as well for this historic occasion.

President Elect Kerry Wrobel invites Morning Star Rotarians (and family/friends) to join Bethlehem Rotarians on this trip. If you are interested, please let me know and we'll get info on costs, timing, etc. from Kerry.

Have you been in touch with CLAIRE HOWARD?

Since Claire is "R85" status and exempt from our attendance requirement, her absence from meetings did not raise any red flags. However, recent attempts to contact her have been unsuccessful and we hope she is okay. If you know how she's doing or have a personal email address for her, would you please let me know? Thanks.

JUNE 20 Meeting will be at MORAVIAN VILLAGE; Speaker?

We are trying another potential meeting location on June 20 - Moravian Village (on Wood Street, across from the Post Office.) The presentation slot is open for that day. While I have several ideas and expect no problem in finding a speaker, I welcome your suggestions for a particular person or topic to finish out our Rotary year.

On June 27 KICKOUT PARTY will replace our morning meeting.

Tom & Janet Kolepp are graciously hosting our Kickout Party this year, starting at 6:00 PM. Details will be provided - for now, please mark your calendar!
