PAKISTAN FROM A LOCAL'S LENS
Join us Thursday for Hareem Zafar Khattak, a Fulbright scholar from Pakistan studying M.A. English Literature at Lehigh University. Pakistan is generally known as the hospitable land of the East, but it isn't until we travel abroad that we realize how different our reality is from how we are perceived elsewhere. So -- breaking a few myths about people back home is what Hareem loves to do most on study abroad trips. If it wouldn't have been a pandemic, she would have loved cooking a Pakistani meal for us -- and yes, we could have adjusted the spice levels -- while she answered questions about why we should visit Pakistan; but she promises, as soon as life returns to normal, we will celebrate with a small Biryani lunch!
