Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you if you’re Irish, part-Irish, or pretend-Irish today!!! I sincerely hope that March will “go out like a lamb” – Ron Helmuth said that even skiers are tired of snow! Sorry to miss 2 excellent speakers and several club events while away – I encourage you to attend all that your schedule can accommodate.
Last week …
Thanks to Pres. Elect Tom Kolepp for last week’s program, which reminded us to wear Rotary pins and attire often, and to have an engaging, quick “Elevator Speech” ready. You just never know when the opportunity may arise – and you don’t get a second chance to make a good first impression!
March 20 Program – MARIE UNGER on “Escape to Paradise: Breaking the Cycle of Domestic Abuse in Families”
Marie is a Registered Nurse, Rotarian and an author writing a trilogy about breaking the cycle of domestic abuse. Some of her examples are close to home - from here in the Lehigh Valley. Marie is a fellow Rotarian and was formerly on the District 7430 Exchange Student Committee.
She will be telling us more about her book and inviting us to her book launch in Reading on April 4.

Our 10th Anniversary Charter Night was a wonderful evening attended by more than 100 people including 6 past/current/future District Governors, 3 presidents from other clubs, and 4 exchange students! (1999-2000)
