DICTIONARY Project - Pack Oct. 20, Distribute at Schools

Please save the date of October 20!

We will be stamping and packing the Dictionaries 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the Laros Room at the Bethlehem Public Library.

Co-chairs Ellen Roberts and Marianne Aronson will be needing helpers to stamp and pack the books.

Distribution dates will be in November. Everyone who has participated in the past describes the distribution experience as wonderful. When the information comes around, we hope you'll find a spot to volunteer!

And on October 30 our speaker will be Therese Heidenwolf from Lafayette College. She will address Information Literacy Outreach.

Information literacy is the ability to find, evaulate, and use information effectively and efficiently. It includes an understanding of the ways in which information is created, disseminated, and organized in our society.

In today’s information-rich society, all of us at times feel at sea when we’re trying to find information we need. Today’s talk will describe how college students are taught to do library research and why these skills are crucial to their success both in college and beyond.
