DICTIONARY Project - Meeting Program Oct. 30, then distribute in Nov.

In support of the Dictionary Project, on October 30 our speaker will be Therese Heidenwolf from Lafayette College.  She will address Information Literacy Outreach.

Information literacy is the ability to find, evaluate, and use information effectively and efficiently. It includes an understanding of the ways in which information is created, disseminated, and organized in our society.

In today’s information-rich society, all of us at times feel at sea when we’re trying to find information we need. Today’s talk will describe how college students are taught to do library research and why these skills are crucial to their success both in college and beyond.
