While the snowstorm kept some shoppers home this past Saturday, we added a nice sum at the Moravian Bookshop. Many thanks to our volunteers!

Thursday, Dec. 26 with a “non-meeting” breakfast at The Palace Restaurant (3250 Easton Ave, Bethlehem, PA 18020) starting at 7:15-7:30, our usual time. No announcements, no program, no asking you for money (except to pay for your own food, from the regular menu). Just fellowship!

DISTRICT CONFERENCE DISCOUNT EXPIRES DEC. 31

Please remember that Dec. 31 is the district’s cutoff registration date for the $50 discounted price to the District Conference on May 2-4, 2014 at Bushkill Falls. Please click District Conference on the left side of www.rotarydistrict7430.org .  (This discount is in addition to Morning Star’s $100 per member rebate, to which the cutoff date does NOT apply.)

BOARD “SoundBytes”

On Dec. 11, Rotary Board approved the major grants related to two very successful fundraisers. From the Morning Star Classic 5K / 10K, $7,500 will be given to Bethlehem Special Olympics. And Victory House of Lehigh Valley will receive $9,000 from our Salute the Troops concert. Heartfelt thanks to chairs Jeff Kicska and Gary Hartney, and to all our members and sponsors who helped and supported these events!

In addition, Seven Day Notices have now been issued for Dave Cincera (Past Pres.) and Betty Isaacs (McGehee’s wife), our 9th and 10th new members this year!

Reminders: Second half dues are due by Dec. 31; Rotary Foundation/Polio Plus donations to Tom Hartzell now for 2013 tax deduction.
