DEC 08 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
President’s Message December 11, 2014
One big holiday is behind us and I hope that you had fantastic Thanksgiving celebrations with your families and friends. Kolepp’s journeyed to Florida for a friend’s wedding and then to Texas for an all family reunion and constant feasting. Annika also went with us to Texas and rode a bull, saw a cattle drive, watched innumerable football games, toured AT&T Stadium, ate lunch at the top of the Reunion Tower in Dallas and got her first mani-pedi.
Improv teacher and practitioner Dan Maher’s December 4 presentation on the history and development of improvisational theater and comedy was the prologue to Morning Star Rotary’s “Improv for Breakfast Club” starring Janet Sipple and Susan Burnett. Janet was a TV-heisting Cat-In-The-Hat burglar making off with the neighbor’s husband. Susan volunteered to help her hubby restore an antique bi-plane with pink paint. What a stitch with two good sports!
Other meeting highlights included Ellen Roberts’ report that the Dictionary Project is officially completed and Steve Bajan’s happy dollar endorsement of the Rotary Foundation as his personal charity. Remember that Annika is now living with the Mohr’s – so talk to Mr. Mohr if you would like to Include Annika in your holiday family fun.
