Aug 25 President's Message
President's Message August 25:
It was another fun and inspiring Morning Star Rotary Thursday morning meeting on August 21.
We celebrated August birthdays with Tom Mohr as the 'birthday meister'. Most notably, a "Fossil of the Month" opted for a chocolate Rotary wheel over a dinosaur.
Ms. Cathy Heimsoth, the Executive Director of Traditions of Hanover, presented an inspirational program on "Living a Vibrant Life." Cathy talked about the benefits of living in community and she was very complimentary of our MSR culture of supportive fun and living by the Four Way Test. Cathy also shared her personal story of surviving cancer as a mother of five children and how her choices and motivation carried her through this difficult time. We look forward to seeing Cathy again in the spring when we do our once per year meeting at Traditions.
Charlie Incalcaterra wants everyone to know that registration for volunteers for MOM-n-PA project closes on August 31. Help is needed on Thursday September 11 for set up. Translators, Patient Ambassadors, and Parking Attendants & Security Monitors are needed for both Friday and Saturday. Patient Ambassadors and Translators continue to be the biggest need. Visit the MOM-n-PA website or our MSR website for registration details.
Please attend our next meeting on August 28 when David Roth, Executive Director of Moravian Village, presents a program on Healthcare Facilities Managed by the Regional Moravian Church. David is also our "host" for our weekly meetings, so let's turn out to support him.
