Invite your family, friends and community to join this service project - the more, the merrier! There is no limit to the number of volunteers for this day.

Meet at the Freemansburg Trailhead (12 Monroe Street, Freemansburg, PA 18017). We will travel from Freemansburg Trailhead to the Freemansburg Canal Education Center (FCEC), helping to clean up from Tropical Storm Ida by removing debris and litter along the way.

The U.S. Center for Disease Control identifies Northampton County as a high level of community spread. Per Pennsylvania Department of Health, there is no longer a statewide requirement to wear masks as of June 28, 2021. Follow the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor’s guidance for this event below.

On the day of the event, assess your health and personal risk level. STAY HOME if you have experienced any of the following in the 2 weeks leading up to the event:

Sickness or any COVID-19 symptoms (cough, headache, fever, sore throat, or loss of taste/smell)
Contact with anyone who has/had COVID-19 or a potential case awaiting test results, including anyone who has experienced the above symptoms

Please bring your own face masks, work gloves and hand sanitizer. Some tools and supplies will be provided. If you have any further tools that could be useful, please bring along. Electric and gas-powered tools are not allowed (no weed wackers or power mowers).
