YCEA - Blooming Business

July 22^nd - Sully Pinos, Executive Director of BLOOM Business Empowerment Center with the York County Economic Alliance (YCEA), recently addressed the York East Rotary Club to share the mission, momentum, and measurable impact of BLOOM’s work to support and empower underrepresented entrepreneurs across York County. Under the theme “BLOOMing Business Across York County,” Pinos explained how BLOOM is not just a name—it’s a movement designed to grow a more inclusive and vibrant business community. Since its launch, BLOOM has helped level the playing field for minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses through culturally relevant programs, one-on-one coaching, access to funding opportunities, and bilingual resources. Pinos highlighted BLOOM’s small business grants and accelerator programs, as well as partnerships with local banks and institutions that help entrepreneurs access capital and navigate the regulatory landscape. She also celebrated BLOOM’s business incubator space, which provides startups and microbusinesses with the physical space and mentorship needed to take root and thrive. Pinos, who has been with YCEA for eight years, now leads this countywide initiative that offers a comprehensive suite of services including access to capital, technical assistance, training, and connections to other valuable resources. The mission of BLOOM, she emphasized, is to empower small businesses and build a more inclusive and resilient local economy.
