Byrnes emphasized the program's commitment to supporting veterans in the community, highlighting the critical role it plays in addressing their unique challenges. Byrnes opened her speech by outlining the mission of the YCVOP. "Our primary goal is to ensure that every veteran in York County receives the support and resources they need to lead a fulfilling life," she stated. She emphasized the organization's dedication to aiding veterans in their transition from military to civilian life, addressing issues such as homelessness, unemployment, mental health, and access to healthcare.
