Since its establishment in 1983, this humble soup kitchen has been a steadfast provider of breakfast and lunch to anyone who walks through its doors from Monday to Friday. Fueled by the dedication of volunteers, it serves as a vital lifeline for the less fortunate, ensuring that no one in the community goes hungry. Operating with the ethos of compassion and solidarity, Our Daily Bread has become synonymous with generosity in York. The commitment of volunteers is the cornerstone of its operations, with individuals from all walks of life coming together to serve over 100 meals on an average day. One such group of volunteers hails from the Rotary Club of York-East, exemplifying the spirit of service that defines the organization.
