A Message From Our President

Tom Kelley, newly inducted President of York East Rotary, addressed Rotarians at their breakfast meeting July 25, 2017 at Heritage Hills.  He discussed what it is about our particular group of Rotarians that appeals to new members.  He described York East Rotarians as “real”,

genuinely welcoming others into the fellowship and shared purpose of Rotary to better our local and global communities.  Kelley encouraged members of our club to bring three new people to one of our breakfast meetings this year.  The enthusiasm, warmth and “realness” of our group will be contagious.  It will help our membership to grow seemingly without any effort.  Another goal for the Kelley presidency is to get new members involved as soon as they join, enlisting them to a committee.  Cross-training of committee members is also essential to insure “institutional memory” (a legal term for assuring that committee work carries on despite illness, attrition etc).  He also thanked Past President Greg Kern and the Board for their assistance in his transition into the role of President.  It was an inspiring presentation as our President vows to make York East Rotary even Greater!
