May 13, 2025 - Patrick Ball, Interim CEO of LifePath Christian Ministries, spoke at the York East Rotary Club, shedding light on the pressing issue of homelessness in York, Pennsylvania, and introducing LifePath's latest initiative: a new shelter facility on North Hartley Street. During the meeting, Ball provided insights into the challenges faced by the homeless population in York and emphasized the importance of community involvement in addressing these issues. He highlighted LifePath's commitment to offering comprehensive services that go beyond immediate shelter, aiming to provide long-term solutions for those in need. The new facility on North Hartley Street is designed to serve as a family shelter, accommodating various family units, including men with children and couples, ensuring they can stay together during times of crisis. This approach addresses a significant gap in services for families experiencing homelessness in the area. Ball noted, "Our priority is providing people with dignity during a time of transition—to be able to stay together as a family unit and remove the stress of being separated." The establishment of this facility was made possible through generous contributions from organizations such as The Arthur J. and Lee R. Glatfelter Foundation, the Powder Mill Foundation, the J. William Warehime Foundation, WellSpan Health Foundation, and members of the local community. LifePath Christian Ministries continues to play a vital role in York by providing food, shelter, and support services to those in need. In 2024, the organization served over 141,000 meals and provided more than 62,000 nights of safe lodging to 4,260 unique guests.
