There are 8 shows produced a year with 4 of the shows double casted. Each production features 25% new people. This guarantees theater experience to those who have never participated. More than 100 people are involved in each production with roles ranging from costume making, behind the scenes and those front and center. Summer camp for kids and Shakespeare in the Park are currently in session. Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew is playing in various local parks through the end of July and is free to attend. Theater participants learn teamwork, collaboration, responsibility, acceptance of others and develop character and self-esteem growth, Programs for those with special needs are also offered. The touring company of DreamWrights travels to local schools during the school year..
DreamWrights is supported mostly by community donations but also by costume rentals and ticket sales. Up and coming shows August through December of this year include Mousetrap, Beauty and the Beast, and It’s a Wonderful Life.
Ms Davis invites us to participate, see the opportunities, find your passion, and realize the power of DreamWrights. Davis affims that DreamWrights puts growth Center Stage and at DreamWrights, we believe in and see Transformation.
