September 23, 2025 — The York East Rotary Club held its weekly breakfast meeting at the Byrnes Health Education Center, where members gained an inside look at one of the region’s leading health education organizations. The meeting featured an engaging and informative presentation from Annie Beck, President & CEO, along with Lyndsey Mackie, CFRE, Senior Director of Development, and Krista Bair, Assistant Director of Education Services. Together, they shared an overview of the Center’s mission to empower people of all ages to make informed choices about their health and wellness. Rotarians learned about the wide range of programs the Center offers, from school-based health education for children and teens to community workshops on topics such as nutrition, mental health, substance use prevention, and healthy relationships. Beck and her team also highlighted the Center’s commitment to reaching underserved populations and adapting educational services to meet evolving community needs. Following the presentation, members were treated to a guided tour of the facility, where they saw firsthand the interactive classrooms and educational spaces used to deliver impactful, evidence-based programming. The Byrnes Health Education Center team also took a moment to express their appreciation for the Rotary Club’s support, particularly in helping secure new ceiling fans for the Stanley Auditorium, an upgrade that enhances the comfort of visitors and supports the Center’s ongoing community outreach efforts.
