Broad Street Market
A group of volunteers went to the Broad Street Market to spend some time beautifying around the building. Some volunteers mowed the lawn, while others blew leaves and weed whacked. Others picked up trash around the building. We eventually wrapped up and got a speech from Eric Hagarty - the board chair and Ashlynn Buie - Market Manager to give us an update. We shared a lunch together and are excited to see the rebuild of the back building which burned down do to an electrical fire in 2022.

Central Pennsylvania Food Bank
Once a month we volunteer at the Central Pennsylvania Food bank to pack boxes of food for those less fortunate. Typically these boxes are shipped out to areas with natural disasters where they don't have access to clean food and water. For 2 hours we have a line while other floaters work on breaking down boxes or moving pallets of food. Over the course of time we tend to package over 100 boxes of food.
Whitaker Center
A group of volunteers went to the Whitaker Center to pack goodie bags for their upcoming 25th anniversary. That week they celebrated everyday by providing free activities to the community. On Tuesday they gave out goodie bags full of candy from 1999. The group enjoyed spending time learning more about the Whitaker Center and sharing lunch with some of their employees.
