Rotary Minute:
By Jim Morr; “Monroe Rotary and the United Way." While the Monroe Rotary Club has not directly contributed to the United Way, we have been supporters over the years. In addition to passing the cup for the campaign, and many of our members taking active roles in both the campaigns and the funds distribution committees, we have provided financial, program or service assistance to many of the United Way agencies including:
Arthur Lessow Community Center
Big Brothers - Big Sisters
Boy Scouts
Camp Fire
CASA
Monroe Cancer Connection
Gabby's Ladder
Family Counseling and Shelter Services
Habitat for Humanity
Holiday Camp
Salvation Army (remember that Rotary is unbeaten in its bell ringing efforts.)
o as a plug from a former Campaign Chair, search your heart and dig into your pockets this campaign to assist the United Way.
