Member Spotlight on Jeff Barile

Lynn Rotary Club member Jeff Barile has recently announced that he has written a historical fiction book for young readers. The book, set in the North End of Boston, addresses issues of immigration, poverty, bullying, friendship, and tragedy of which Jeff is familiar with from his years as a former elementary school Principal. Jeff is an active Lynn Rotarian who has been a regular at our Satellite meetings and is the lead person on our annual Dictionary Distribution Day project.  He has announced that he intends to donate a portion of the proceeds to the Lynn Rotary Scholarship Fund, another indication of Service Above Self.  We recognize his dedication and hope that Lynn Rotarians support him in his literary journey.

Here is his announcement:

“I am proud to announce that my latest book, Let’s Be Friends will be released on September 15, 2026 on Amazon in paperback and e- book format. Briefly, the two protagonists are sixth grade Italian immigrants living in the North End of Boston in the early 1900s. While the main characters are young, I believe readers of all ages will enjoy this heartwarming story. So here comes the important issue, I am humbly asking you and all your family and friends to kindly consider purchasing a book on September 15th. Also, after reading, it will be helpful if you would write an honest review on Amazon.

Until we have a chance to speak, Buona Lettura – Happy Reading.”
