The Lynn Rotary Club recently listened to a presentation from English High School immigrant
students who were part of a school club called Living in two Worlds.
The presentation consisted of short films by each student which chronicled the trials of each student in their homeland and the difficulty making it in the United States. The powerful and emotional stories of each student told of what they had to overcome in their lives to become students in English High. The students were from all over the world and were new to the United States but the club provided a safe haven for each student where they could make friends and share similar experiences. Club members were moved by these student presentations and were proud to know that the city schools offered such support for these students from all over the world.
