International - Nights

A favourite way of raising funds for overseas projects has been an international night. These nights have included Thai, Malaysian, Russian, Indian, Indonesian and Austrian themes. Some raised money through a raffle, with airline tickets donated as prizes. The first international night was recorded in 1973-74, when wives of 'international' members cooked dishes from Sweden, Indonesia, Germany, Chile and Australia, an event which raised $650 for that year's Queen of Hearts Quest.
