A motion was presented to the Whyte Avenue Rotary Club on the nomination of Lyndsay Melcosky for membership into the Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue with the classification of Nursing.
She has been nominated by Lauren Emery.
Her bio is below.  Lyndsay grew up in small town Alberta then moved to Ottawa to attend university. She used to think she wanted to be a journalist which led her to study communications and volunteer with the campus newspaper and radio station at Carleton University. As a student, she worked part-time with a quadriplegic in his home which got the wheels turning in her head regarding nursing. She attended nursing school through the collaborative program at University of Ottawa and Algonquin College. After living in Ottawa for ten years, she moved back to Alberta to be closer to her family and has resided in Edmonton for five years. In accordance with our club bylaws (see 3.2.5 below), please indicate within seven days (7), by return email to the Club Secretary, Stan Kodric, if you have any knowledge that Lyndsay does not meet the Rotary Four-Way Test and you object to the admission of her as a new member, or if you require additional information regarding this candidate.
3.2.5 If the Board does not receive a written objection from a Member in Good Standing to the admission of the prospective Active Member, stating the reasons for such objection, within seven (7) days following the publication of information about the prospective Active Member pursuant to section 3.2.4, the prospective Active Member shall be considered to be elected to membership.
