New Member Proposal - Announcement to Club Kat Lahola
A motion was presented to the Whyte Avenue Rotary Club on the nomination of Kat Lahola for membership into the Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue.

Marilyn Mucha has nominated Kat.

Her bio is below.

Katrusia (Kat) is 25 years old and born and raised in Edmonton. She recently graduated from Grant MacEwan University with a Diploma in Human Resource Management.

She has a  passion for travel and likes to volunteer.  In 2010, she was on a six-month cultural exchange with Canada World Youth spending 3 months volunteering on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia followed by 3 months in Cape Town, South Africa.  This journey taught her a great deal about how she can positively impact people and affect change in the world. This particular experience gave her a long lasting love of different cultures and  strength and desire to do more.   She believes being a part of our Rotary Club will provide her with opportunities to reach new goals, connect with like-minded individuals and help pursue her passion of helping others.

In accordance with our club bylaws (see 3.2.5 below), please indicate within seven days (7), by return email to the Club Secretary, Stan Kodric, if you have any knowledge that Kat does not meet the Rotary Four-Way Test and you object to the admission of her as new member, or if you require additional information regarding this candidate.

3.2.5 If the Board does not receive a written objection from a Member in Good Standing to the admission of the prospective Active Member, stating the reasons for such objection, within seven (7) days following the publication of information about the prospective Active Member pursuant to section 3.2.4, the prospective Active Member shall be considered to be elected to membership.

Thank you very much; we appreciate your timely consideration of the proposed membership.
