A motion was presented to the Whyte Avenue Rotary Club on the nomination of Steven McRory for membership into the Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue. He has been nominated by Tim Onciul. His bio is below.  Steven was a member of the Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue back in 2012. He is a lifelong Edmonton area resident, married to Christi Andrin (a biochemist at the University of Alberta), a father of two and a grandfather of two. He has 30+ years’ experience as a professional communicator, specializing in organizational communications planning and video communications, with clients ranging from local not-for-profits to government to Fortune 500 companies. He is (currently) the Founder, President and CEO of Straight Line Video Networks Inc., a service company specializing in web-ready video and therefore his designation would be "Communications". His past volunteer efforts include coaching school and community swim clubs, teaching communications, reading partner with elementary school students, an is a pro bono communications counsel for numerous community organizations. In accordance with our club bylaws (see 3.2.5 below), please indicate within seven days (7), by return email to the Club Secretary, Stan Kodric, if you have any knowledge that Steven does not meet the Rotary Four-Way Test and you object to the admission of him as a new member, or if you require additional information regarding this candidate. 3.2.5 If the Board does not receive a written objection from a Member in Good Standing to the admission of the prospective Active Member, stating the reasons for such objection, within seven (7) days following the publication of information about the prospective Active Member pursuant to section 3.2.4, the prospective Active Member shall be considered to be elected to membership.
